CLUB SPORTS
Those sports classified as Club Sports are not certified by the PSAL, the CCS, or the CIF. Because of this, different participation rules may apply. However, many d.tech students participate in these sports, so we offer this space to advertise their involvement.

Sailing
The Design Tech Sailing Team is a club sport competing in the Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA).
Sailing practice takes place at the Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation (PYSF) in Redwood City, and is coached by US Sailing Board Director and Olympian Molly Vandemoer.
Currently, the 2025 Fall season is underway with returning sailors and newcomers participating. Registration for newcomers ends September 12th after the Try-it-out days
(more info here). Next entry point to join the dTech Sailing Team is the Spring 2026 season! No experience is needed, and this is a great way to meet people. Our co-captains are Tibet Saldamli and Cooper Frustoss. We practice in Redwood City at the ports, and there is a shuttle to transport our team from campus to practice.
